Design Concept

Old San Juan is a city of bright colors, music, art, and history that is sure to wow all who visit. The hotel will be toned down in its color scheme to provide a more relaxing feel, but still incorporate the culture through its architecture, food and beverages, entertainment, and décor. The common spaces within the hotel will seamlessly transition from one to the other to encourage guests to move freely within the space and experience the different amenities that the hotel will offer. Amenities will include a spa and salon, five-star restaurant, indoor and outdoor bar, multi-level pool and patio area and a fitness center. The hotel will offer many different rooms that suit couples, singles, and small families. Guests will have the option of choosing an ocean view, or the view of the city lights when booking their room.

Facilities and Amenities

Facilities and Amenities will include many different guestroom types including, thirty Deluxe King Suites, fifty Junior Suites, sixty King Suites, and seventy Queen-Queen Suites. The total number of guestrooms is 210 and the total square footage is 54,000sq. ft. The hotel sits on the beach of San Juan, Puerto Rico neighboring the historic Old San Juan.

The Lobby will be located on the main floor along with many of the professional businesses and amenities that the hotel offers. The architecture and décor of the property will provide an elegant modern space that also features hints of a classical Spanish style.

The hotel will offer food and beverages from the five-star restaurant and bar on the first and second level. The restaurant and kitchen will be on the main level and will contain 84 seats for indoor and outdoor seating with a lovely beach view. Outdoor seating of the restaurant will flow into the back patio which will also contain a large pool overlooking the beautiful ocean view. There will also be a poolside bar containing 16 seats and 450sq.ft. On the second level will be a large balcony that opens to the second-floor bar and ball room for weddings and other large events. The total square footage of food and beverage areas will be roughly 3,600 sq.ft.

Other amenities offered includes a spa that holds room for single and couples’ messages and a private sauna and hot tub. Next to the spa will be a salon that provides hair and nail services for the guests. The second floor holds an 800sq.ft. fitness center and a conference/ballroom area that is 1,100sq.ft. in size.

Security

For security purposes, there will only be one main entrance with a fenced in pool and patio area surrounded with a garden wall for privacy. The pool and patio area will be elevated from the beach below. Security guards will be at the main entrance and throughout different levels of the hotel. No guest rooms will be on the first two floors to ensure extra security for residents. The guestrooms will also have keycard entries and a deadbolt lock. Keycards will also be needed for all exterior doors aside from the main entrance.

Way Finding

Clear signage will be posted for all public rooms (Front Desk, Restaurant, Spa, Salon, Retail Area, Pool, and Restrooms). Exit signs will be provided and emergency exit routs will be posted on floor plans of all levels. Floorplans and maps will be posted outside the elevator doors at each level and by the staircases.
